About Us

Mission:

Pronghorn Running Company aims to provide athletes with the education, resources, and equipment needed to reach their full potential. The company is committed to meeting athletes where they are in their fitness journey and takes a holistic approach. The Pronghorn is the fastest mammal in the Western Hemisphere. Although it is second-fastest only to the cheetah, it has some of the highest endurance of any mammal, capable of sustaining high speeds for extended durations. Pronghorn Running Company is not only committed to running fast but also designed to go the distance, both in running and in life.

Pronghorn Running Company was founded on the motto “Build Endure Evolve.”

Build: A house without a solid foundation is easily swept away by storms (Matthew 7:25). Establishing a strong foundation is essential and can be achieved through strength training and developing a strong aerobic base.

Endure: The finest metals on earth must withstand the process to become precious metals through quenching fires; they must endure. Enduring the hard days and tough training sessions, knowing that endurance is not built through complacency but through decisive action.

Evolve: Expecting a different result from doing the same thing is mediocrity. Evolving is the process by which the body and mind become stronger, sharper, and more fit through adaptations that only happen when intense demands are placed on the body, forcing it to evolve and become more capable.

Founder & CEO

William Chase Howerton

Chase Howerton is an ambassador of Jesus Christ, a husband, an athlete, and an entrepreneur. Chase was born and raised in Rockwall, Texas, and has since resided in Arkansas after college. He is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition and Dietetics. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, he wrestled for the university and received an Arkansas Army National Guard Minuteman Scholarship through the Reserve Officer Training Corps. At graduation, Chase was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Arkansas Army National Guard.

Following graduation, he pursued a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science, which he completed upon commencement in May 2025. Chase’s passion for running began despite preparing for a military school that ultimately did not happen. During his preparation, he trained as if for a marathon, following a generic plan he found online, knowing that if he could train as if for a marathon, he would easily surpass the school’s requirements. Even though the school did not happen, Chase continued running and training. There was something about running that was both so simple and yet could be so difficult at the same time.

That summer of 2022, Chase ran his first half-marathon at a virtual race. Since then, Chase has run three sanctioned marathons (Fort Smith, Dallas BMW, and Oklahoma City) and one ultramarathon (50K) (Feel the Burn). He is now training for an Ironman 70.3 and aims for a sub-2:50 marathon at the Dallas BMW Marathon in December. Chase founded this company to be more than just another running or fitness business—it's meant to meet each individual where they are and provide them with the highest quality of support in all aspects of running and in life.
